Bruce Eckel wades into the Static/Dynamic Typing debate once more, with code examples and lots of reasoned opinion...
The benefit of simpler, clearer expression of concepts is simply not worth the danger. Even if that benefit is a productivity increase of 5 to 10 times over that of Java or C++.
