You may have noticed that my website is more about computers and programming than Crime Scene Cleanup, and so I'm not really the best person to help you.
But if I did want to get into this business, I would start at the crime scene cleanup directory:

Read all the articles, and, if still interested, get a list of questions together and telephone some of the businesses it lists.
Given the unusual nature of the job I suppose there are plenty of "tricks of the trade" you will need to learn, so I'd suggest going to work for one of these businesses for a year or two before starting your own business.

I found www.cleanup911.com to have 99% of the information needed to start a Crime Scene Cleanup Company anywhere. Their information package is extensive for the low price of $39.95, compared to some of the other packages I've seen offered on the web. It gives answers in almost every aspect, the few it doesn't would be relative to your particular area and it explains how to get those answers. I couldn't have been happier.
I bought the book from cleanup911 for $39.95 it is not worth 39 cents! It did not give me any information. It is a complete scam. The guy who wrote the above "BOB" is the owner. The information he is selling is available for free on the net. "DO NOT BUY FROM HIM"

Yes, we need a crime scene cleanup forum / message board.
We have been in the crime scene cleaning business for over 8 years and have found that this type of work is not for everyone and that you need a pretty good cash supply to survive. The amount of training and equipment is large. We cover all of Colrado and surrounding states and have found hundreds of fly by night companies that think you can do this type of work with a bottle of bleach and some rags. Everyone that wants to try this needs to know all of the state, and federal regulations before even thinking about this as a profession.
