Gmail is working well for me. Provided that Google don’t suddenly turn evil, or go Chapter 11 and trash my email, it looks like I’ll be with them for the long term.
I have to agree with you there. It does give me just what I want in a web email account more so than any others. However I do feel that it has some way to go before it can be made public, many in the user interface department. But it is for my money the best that I have used.

I've been using gmail for a few months now. Been pretty damned good. Transferred all my mail over to it. I too hope they don't shut it down ;)
